Job summary

Gowanda Electronics in Salem, Oregon, is hiring an Assembler I for the second shift to support the assembly and production of magnetic and electronic components. You will follow established instructions and safety standards while contributing to high-quality output.

The role requires basic mechanical/electrical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment. Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth and skill

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic soldering experience preferred.
Prior manufacturing/assembly experience helpful.

Responsibilities

Perform basic mechanical or electronic assembly using standard hand tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Follow work instructions, routers, and visual aids for routine assembly processes.
Complete tasks such as wire stripping, lead trimming, simple soldering, coil winding, potting, encapsulation, and labeling.
Conduct basic inspections using calipers, micrometers, magnifiers, multimeters or other standard measurement tools.
Assist with basic functional testing and record results accurately.
Identify and report defects or equipment concerns and maintain a clean 5S work area.
