Job summary

Acorn Distributors Inc. is seeking a second-shift Warehouse Associate to pick, pack, and load orders from our distribution center onto delivery trucks. The role requires operating forklifts and related equipment, manual handling, and adherence to safety standards.

You will work a 5:00pm start and participate in end-of-shift equipment charging and cleaning activities. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, 6 months to 1 year of distribution center experience, and the ability

Qualifications

Must be able to communicate and comprehend both written and oral information.
Competence in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to operate necessary equipment (forklift, stock picker, two-wheeler, wrapping machine, dollies, carts).
Must be certified by Acorn Distributors on all equipment as required by OSHA within 90 days.
High School diploma or equivalent
A minimum of six (6) months to (1) year of experience in a distribution center.

Responsibilities

Read customer orders to determine items to pick and load for delivery.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets for trucks.
Load product on trucks in predetermined order.
Ensure product is not damaged and easy to sort on delivery.
Perform equipment inspections and log sheets at shift start.
Clean distribution center and plug equipment into charging stations at shift end.
Follow OSHA safety standards and report violations to supervisor.
Other duties as required.
