Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a forklift operator for the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) to safely operate forklift and wrapping equipment, and to select and stack items on pallets according to packing lists.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months forklift experience, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and the stamina to stand/walk in a manufacturing environment. U.S. work authorization is required; corrugated industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Available to work 2nd shift 2pm-10pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Operate wrapping equipment
• Select and stack order items on pallets according to the packing list
• Assist other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance the workload, organize warehouses, keep stock and materials orderly, and perform general cleaning.
• Follow rules and procedures related to the safe and efficient operation of the forklift.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Other duties as assigned.
