Job summary

Penske is seeking a Technician II in Conklin, NY to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will work Sunday to Thursday, 3:30pm–12:00am, with a pay of $28.00 per hour, in a role that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and mentorship.

You’ll gain exposure to multiple OEM equipment and Penske's maintenance processes. You’ll be trained to log and diagnose using Penske tools, grow skills with experienced techs, and contribute to a reliable, customer-focused service operation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• ASE/CERTs including 608/609 preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work with DOT/OSHA safety guidelines and PacK safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, and related components.
• Keep the work area clean and safe at all times.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs and basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
