Job summary

Burkert USA Corp is seeking an experienced machinist to join our high-volume production team in a role focused on machined parts and process efficiency. You will read production documents, operate CNC and manual machines, and maintain equipment to maximize uptime and quality.

Applicants should have strong GD&T knowledge, experience with ERP/MRP systems, and a commitment to safety and on-time delivery. Flexible scheduling and multiple shifts may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

Technical trade school or machining apprenticeship certification is preferred.
5+ years of hands-on machining experience in high-volume production environments.
Advanced knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain) and manual machining operations.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, SPC, and in-process inspection methods.
Familiarity with production scheduling systems (ERP/MRP) and electronic data entry.

Responsibilities

Read production documents to produce the relevant product/part.
Use the provided tools to ensure supplies of parts and record quality and fault notifications.
Check product/part according to quality specifications to ensure quality.
Perform maintenance to increase plant availability.
Produce quality parts to achieve and secure sales.
Adhere to deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction and service level.
Continuously optimise processes to boost efficiency (CIP).
Perform simple setup tasks to reduce downtimes.
