Job summary

ABM Industries seeks a qualified HVAC Technician for the second shift to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems supporting mission-critical data center operations. This role provides after-hours coverage to ensure system reliability, rapid response to alarms, and seamless handoff between shifts.

You will work independently while coordinating with site operations, Controls, Chiller, Electrical, and on-call teams, documenting all work in the CMMS, and following

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience; data center or mission-critical experience preferred.
• Reading mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Good written and verbal communication with clear shift documentation.
• Ability to work independently during off-peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, pumps, and related equipment.
• Monitor BAS/BMS alarms and environmental conditions to ensure thermal stability.
• Respond to alarms and service requests, escalating as needed.
• Document all work in CMMS and ensure accurate turnover to next shift.
• Escort third-party vendors during after-hours maintenance.
