Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in California seeks a diligent Assembler I–III for the 2nd shift. You will perform assembly tasks, inspect components, and operate precision equipment in a controlled environment, following military and industry standards.

Expect strong teamwork, adherence to safety, and potential overtime. Second shift offers a 10% differential after training; prior IPC soldering certification is a plus, with comprehensive benefits described by Crane.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of small component assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods knowledge
• Strong verbal and written communication;
• Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language
• Basic computer skills (understanding of basic software)
• High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies or completed assemblies per instructions.
• Prepare components prior to assembly, clean components, mark, and inspect components.
• Test finished assemblies and operate designated equipment such as Die Attach Machine, Wire Bonder, X-Ray machines.
• Observe health and safety procedures per OSHA and Crane policy; report issues to supervisor.
• Participate in area/team meetings for process improvement; support CBS initiatives.
• Cross-train to work on at least one process within the cell; may work overtime.
• Operate microscopes for inspection (up to 8 hours a day).
