Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks an experienced assembler for second shift in Phoenix, AZ. You will assemble and repair electronic units, read engineering prints, and document processes. You will work from 2:30 to 10:30 pm, with ~60 days of morning training to build proficiency in soldering and precision assembly.

The role requires strict safety and quality practices in an onsite environment. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or equivalent with 4+ years in electronic assembly, can read technical data,

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Must read, write and understand English
• Ability to read and interpret technical data

Responsibilities

• Assemble and repair electronic units using prescribed techniques
• Identify correct parts, components, wires, and materials needed for assembly
• Solder electronic components using industry-standard techniques
• Remove suspect components and install new ones
• Operate assembly machines and ensure proper functioning
• Measure, mix, and apply chemicals according to safety guidelines
• Read technical data, manuals, and engineering prints
• Communicate work status to team and support staff
• Document clear and concise records
• Use office software applications
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30 - 10:30 pm
• Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm for ~60 days
