Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Component Repair Technician 2 for the Lincoln facility on the second shift. The role focuses on component level electronics troubleshooting, soldering to IPC standards, and reading schematics, with emphasis on test bench operations and precision tool use.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED and 2 years in related area (sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical/electronic harnesses, or electrical systems troubleshooting).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; able to read blueprints and engrg docs.
• Two years of related experience in sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical/electronic harnesses, electrical systems troubleshooting, battery servicing, APU removal/installation/servicing.
• Ability to interpret drawings and use precision measuring tools; proficient operation of relevant dept tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic and advanced skills in repair procedures, techniques, and tools for component repair.
• Repair mechanical and electrical assemblies via removal, repair or replacement of parts, and fabrication of replacements per drawings and manuals.
• Set up, maintain, and operate test equipment to perform functional tests and return components to service.
• Inspect detail parts against blueprints and manuals to ensure conformity.
• Remove skins and related components on flight controls and secondary structures as needed.
• Demonstrate soldering and repair techniques with protective coatings.
• Maintain required paperwork in accordance with FAA Repair Station requirements and keep a clean, safe workspace.
