Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Aircraft Component Repair Tech II for weekend day shifts in the Landing Gear shop. You will repair and overhaul internal and external aircraft assemblies and subassemblies in accordance with Gulfstream Repair Station requirements.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and hands-on experience with blueprints, precision measuring tools, and hydraulic/electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to interpret blueprints, engrg docs and use precision measuring tools.
• 2 years experience in sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical/electronic harness buildup, electrical systems troubleshooting, battery servicing, APU removal, installation, and servicing.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic and some advanced skills in repair procedures and use of tools.
• Repair and overhaul mechanical and electrical assemblies per blueprints and manuals.
• Set up and operate test equipment for functional tests of components.
• Inspect detail parts to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Remove skins and components on flight controls and install parts as needed.
• Demonstrate repair techniques including soldering and coatings.
• Maintain required paperwork in accordance with FAA RS.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety regulations.
