Job summary

The King and Prince Golf Club on Saint Simons Island, GA, seeks a Second Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to lead the Grounds Crew during a major renovation and grow-in. This role offers the chance to shape agronomic standards and contribute to a premier course experience as the club reopens as a private facility.

Reporting to the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you will help drive daily operations, ensure top-tier course conditions, and collaborate with the maintenance and golf

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, plant science or related field.
• At least two years of progressive golf course maintenance experience.
• Commercial pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily golf course maintenance activities and crew assignments.
• Provide hands-on leadership, training, and support to Grounds Crew employees.
• Assist with the renovation, grow-in, and reopening of the golf course.
• Support agronomic programs including warm-season turf, irrigation, drainage, fertilization, plant protection, and cultural practices.
• Monitor course conditions and help maintain exceptional playing surfaces and presentation standards.
• Coordinate with the Mechanic Crew and Golf Operations team to support daily operations.
• Promote a safe, respectful, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a maintenance leader when senior management is unavailable
