Job summary

RSM is seeking a Manager to join our Accounting and Finance Consulting practice with a focus on SEC Reporting Services. You will lead and support public-company clients through recurring SEC and financial reporting requirements, delivering an efficient, scalable service model.

The role requires strong SEC knowledge, hands-on execution, and the ability to supervise and develop team members while coordinating with clients and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field.
• Five or more years of public accounting, SEC reporting, external financial reporting, or technical accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience preparing/reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q and related disclosures.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and concurrent engagements.
• Strong project-management, written/verbal and client-service skills.
• Experience supervising and reviewing engagement team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple SEC reporting engagements, including quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
• Lead the preparation and review of Forms 10-Q and 10-K, financial statements, footnote disclosures, and schedules.
• Coordinate reporting calendars, client deliverables, review cycles, open-item tracking, and filing deadlines.
• Review client-provided schedules and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform and oversee financial statement tie-outs, disclosure checklist completion, and working papers.
• Work with client teams to resolve reporting issues and obtain required information.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal accounting specialists to address review comments.
• Supervise and develop seniors and associates, including assigning work and feedback.
• Monitor engagement economics, staffing, and resource needs across engagements.
• Identify opportunities to improve SEC reporting processes and controls.
