Job summary

The Performance Group in Wayne, PA seeks a detail‑oriented SEC Reporting Specialist to prepare and support filings under U.S. GAAP. You will coordinate with accounting, finance, legal and tax, ensuring accurate disclosures and timely EDGAR submissions.

You will validate data, assist with XBRL tagging, and liaise with auditors during quarterly and annual cycles, while maintaining SOX controls and staying current on SEC rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with SEC reporting, financial reporting, or corporate accounting.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP/reporting systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight quarterly/annual deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support SEC filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and registration statements.
• Gather financial and operational information from accounting, finance, legal, tax, and other departments.
• Analyze financial data and ensure disclosures are accurate, complete, and consistent with U.S.GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Prepare supporting schedules, footnotes, MD&A disclosures, and other filing documentation.
• Perform tie-outs and reconciliations between SEC filings, financial statements, the general ledger, and supporting reports.
• Assist with XBRL tagging and review filing data for accuracy.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders during quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
• Research new SEC rules, accounting standards, and disclosure requirements and assess their impact on reporting.
• Maintain reporting controls and documentation related to SOX/internal controls.
• Help manage filing calendars, deadlines, review processes, and EDGAR submissions.
• Identify discrepancies or unusual items and work with accounting teams to resolve them.
