Job summary

Evergy is seeking an External Reporting Analyst to manage timely SEC filings and consolidated financial statements for a KC-based team. You will apply GAAP, SEC guidance, and regulatory knowledge to new transactions and disclosures, coordinating with management and auditors.

The role requires strong Excel/Word skills, familiarity with Hyperion, Workiva Wdesk, and PeopleSoft, and a willingness to meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Experience with SEC reporting, GAAP financial reporting, or public accounting preferred.
• Familiarity with large-scale accounting systems and advanced Excel/Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Submit 34 Act SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) timely and accurately.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop disclosures and communicate regulatory impacts to management and auditors.
• Support FERC pages and other regulatory requirements.
