Job summary

Parkway Schools seeks a full-time assistant to support the SEB Specialist in elementary settings for the 2026-2027 year. Primary duties include aiding teachers, reinforcing material for students, and assisting with routines and supervision. Requires DESE Substitute Certification and appropriate education credits.

Compensation starts at 19.15/hr with 60 college credits or substitute certification, 20.15/hr with a 4-year degree. Experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 36 college credit hours with official transcripts.
• Substitute teacher training with HS diploma/GED/HISET (translated if applicable).
• Must have DESE Substitute Certification to work.

Responsibilities

• Assist SEB Specialist and teachers to reinforce learning.
• Support individual students or small groups as directed.
• Assist with planning and implementing strategies for students with needs.
• Escort and aid children in various school activities and settings.
• Assist with lunch, cleanup, and routines as assigned.
