Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking Spanish onsite contract interpreters in the Seattle, WA area to facilitate accurate English-Spanish interpretation for on-site assignments and remote calls when needed.

You will adhere to interpreter ethics, confidentiality and client requirements, maintain professional language proficiency, and travel to assignments as scheduled. Prior interpreting experience and relevant credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to travel to on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish during accepted onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable to an accepted assignment.
• Follow applicable interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with applicable Propio and client requirements relating to interpreter ethics, confidentiality, privacy, security, safety, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements applicable to each assignment, including HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and applicable client requirements, as appropriate.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, customers, visitors, healthcare professionals, and other participants.
• Maintain professional language proficiency, terminology, and subject‑matter knowledge necessary to perform accepted assignments accurately and professionally.
