Job summary

Zūm is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to lead daily transportation operations at our Seattle location. This role serves as the critical communication hub, coordinating drivers, routes, and emergencies while maintaining close contact with school districts, families, and internal teams.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft or G Suite applications.
• Experience in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor daily driver assignments, schedule drivers and vehicles for full route coverage.
• Communicate driving details to drivers and assist with routing and special service tasks.
• Coordinate vehicle service with Maintenance Manager to ensure service continuity.
• Respond to emergency calls and coordinate the emergency response network.
• Notify stakeholders of route changes, emergencies, and service disruptions; handle concerns promptly.
• Maintain route documentation and records for accuracy and compliance with district/state requirements.
• Enforce dispatch SOPs; coordinate disciplinary actions with management.
• Track operations and incidents for reporting with Location and Safety managers.
