Job summary

Turner is seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer for our Seattle Main division. You will manage and evaluate information to complete projects on time, within budget and per contract documents.

You’ll supervise engineers, assistants and interns while coordinating with architects, subcontractors and owners. Responsibilities include budget oversight, submittal review, change-order negotiation and close-out preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus four years of related experience or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEAN technologies.
• Ability to read, interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors and Owner's Representatives to resolve issues.
• Oversee and decide on contract drawings and subcontract information; ensure drawings relate to the estimate.
• Manage the project budget and submittals/shop drawings; resolve interpretation conflicts.
• Negotiate Change Orders; manage changes, obtain approvals, and resolve conflicts.
• Oversee close-out processes; prepare RFI records, warranties, O&Ms, and as-builts.
• Supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns.
• Prepare Scope of Work documents for trades and develop various project reports.
• Schedule and manage subcontractor coordination and review meetings.
