Job summary

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a Cook at Southland Casino Hotel in West Memphis, Arkansas. The role involves training teammates, preparing food, operating kitchen equipment, and upholding health codes and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position.
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes.
• Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory

Delaware North Gaming is searching for a full-time or part-time Cook to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Cook, you will take your culinary career to the next tier as you assist in training team members, preparing food, operating kitchen equipment, and upholding all health codes and sanitation regulations.

Pay

$16.00 - $17.00 / hour

What will you do?
