Job summary

Campbell Soup Company is hiring a Seasoning Operator in Hanover, PA. The role runs on a rotating AWS schedule (4 days on, 4 days off) with a starting pay of $20.45/hour. You will follow GMPs, SOPs, and food safety rules while maintaining seasoning equipment and ensuring product quality.

The position requires basic mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform documentation and manual tasks in a fast-paced plant environment. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow GMPs, SOPs, food safety requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain seasoning equipment with correct blends at appropriate inventory levels.
  • Monitor seasoning application rates and ensure product quality.
  • Identify and resolve seasoning equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Assemble, disassemble, clean, and sanitize seasoning line equipment.
  • Perform product changeovers and line cleanups, including allergen and sanitation procedures.
  • Set up seasoning equipment and prepare production lines for operation.
  • Complete required production records related to seasoning process monitoring.
  • Perform minor equipment adjustments and preventative maintenance.
  • Retrieve supplies from warehouse as needed.
  • Support R&D with seasoning trials and product testing.
  • Calibrate load cells and assist with scale calibration.
  • Monitor product quality and adjust operations to QA specs.
  • Test level sensors and monitoring devices with calibration tools.
  • Operate control panels for drop tests and seasoning adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area per 5S standards.
  • Work overtime as required to support production needs.

Seasoning Operator Location: Hanover, Pennsylvania Shift: A or C Shift | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM on a rotating AWS schedule (4 days on, 4 days off) Starting Pay: $20.45/hour

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety requirements, and all workplace safety regulations.
  • Maintain seasoning equipment with the correct seasoning blends at appropriate inventory levels.
  • Monitor seasoning application rates and make adjustments to ensure products meet established quality standards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve seasoning equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Properly assemble, disassemble, clean, and sanitize seasoning line equipment.
  • Perform product changeovers and line cleanups, including allergen, Kosher, and chemical sanitation procedures.
  • Set up seasoning equipment and prepare production lines for operation.
  • Complete required documentation and production records related to seasoning process monitoring.
  • Perform minor equipment adjustments, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Retrieve supplies and seasoning materials from warehouse locations as needed.
  • Support Research & Development (R&D) activities by assisting with new seasoning trials and product testing.
  • Sanitize seasoning tumblers, scales, and associated equipment.
  • Calibrate load cells and assist with scale calibration to ensure accurate seasoning application.
  • Monitor product quality and make operational adjustments to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance specifications.
  • Verify and test level sensors, no-seasoning laser sensors, and other monitoring devices using calibration tools.
  • Utilize operator interface panels to perform drop tests, adjust seasoning settings, and operate equipment effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime as required to support production needs.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE (NICE TO HAVE)
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of production or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience operating food processing, seasoning, or packaging equipment.
  • Experience performing equipment setups, changeovers, and sanitation activities.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, allergen controls, and sanitation procedures.
  • Experience with equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting product trials, testing, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Physical & Work Environment

Continuous standing, hand use, vision requirements, and communication throughout the shift. Frequent walking, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and manual material handling. Occasional climbing and ladder use. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds continuously, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds frequently. Heavier lifting may be required with assistance. Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and loud manufacturing environments. Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions. Occasional exposure to elevated work areas, airborne particles, and cleaning chemicals.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
