Job summary

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is hiring a Sous Chef at Ema Glenview to lead BOH operations, oversee food prep, and ensure quality and consistency across all menu items.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of sous chef experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lead and manage the kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Run BOH shifts and ensure efficient operations including food prep and cooking.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and line checks, monitor recipe books and quality.
• Purchase and order food products, track and control food cost.
• Communicate between FOH and BOH; interview, hire, train and develop BOH staff.
• Ensure teamwork across all teams; handle guest, vendor and employee issues professionally.
• Work varied shifts, including early mornings, late nights and weekends.
