Job summary

Fiery Crab in Alexandria, LA is seeking experienced servers and bartenders to join our team. The Server role enhances guest experience by recommending and serving food and beverages to our high-quality standards. The Server reports to the Front of the House Manager or Manager on Duty.

Bartender duties include preparing drinks, taking orders, mixing, presenting the bar menu, checking IDs, restocking, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Compensation includes salary and tips.

Qualifications

• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate

Responsibilities

• Handle guest incidents/complaints with composure
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Manage cash and paperwork accurately
• Lead by example in service
• Exercise good judgement in guest interactions
• Be knowledgeable of Fiery Crab menus, policies, and procedures
• Be well versed in Point of Sale system
• Maintain proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and punctuality
• Perform under pressure in a high-volume setting
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check IDs to meet legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
