Ponzu Sushi in Palm Springs, CA is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our downtown restaurant team. You’ll set up and run an assigned station, execute dishes following recipes, and maintain station cleanliness during busy service.

The role offers full-time hours, roughly 40 per week, with overtime possible during peak season. We value reliability, speed, and consistency; Japanese cuisine experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience on a professional kitchen line.
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run an assigned station through service.
• Execute dishes according to recipes, portions, and plating standards.
• Complete prep accurately and keep station stocked.
• Maintain speed and consistency during high-volume service.
• Work clean and keep station organized throughout the shift.
• Communicate clearly with chefs, cooks, sushi staff, and FOH team.
• Support other stations when needed.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, cooling, labeling, and storage procedures.
• Complete opening and closing responsibilities thoroughly.
• Respond professionally to direction and feedback.
