UNICO Engineering Inc is seeking a seasoned Construction Inspector in Camarillo, CA. The ideal candidate will perform daily inspections, document reports with photographs, and coordinate with owners, consultants, contractors, and testers on infrastructure projects including roadways and bridges.

Required are 5 years of relevant experience, thorough knowledge of project plans and Caltrans/local agency requirements, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in transportation, structures and utility projects.
• Thorough understanding of CAL OSHA practices and procedures.
• Experience with Caltrans standards preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily inspections and complete documentation.
• Coordinate with clients/owners and other consultants, contractors, and testers.
• Assist Resident Engineers with input on schedule, extra work bills, and change orders.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Monitor construction for compliance with project documents and verify material tags/certificates.
• Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials.
• Inspect road and bridge construction to Caltrans standards.
• Communicate with project team and provide recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
