Job summary
Kleinfelder Construction Services in Southern California is seeking experienced Construction Inspectors (Civil/Roadway, Structure, Electrical) to perform quality assurance inspections on transportation projects. You will report to a Resident Engineer and work at field sites with possible extended shifts and nights.
A field vehicle and gas card are provided. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of inspection experience, a BS in Civil Engineering (or EIT), and proficiency with Caltrans standards, office
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years civil/roadway or Structure/electrical inspection on transportation projects.
- BS in Civil Engineering and/or EIT.
- Caltrans inspection experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of Caltrans standards, specifications and Construction Manual.
- Ability to work night shifts for extended durations.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance inspection and documentation under the direction of a Resident Engineer.
- Interpret plans, specs, and codes to verify work compliance.
- Prepare detailed Daily Inspection Reports with photos reflecting progress.
- Measure and record pay quantities for monthly estimates.
- Support safety and field documentation practices.
- Maintain field as-built drawings.
- Assist Resident Engineer with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and responses.
