Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll and client service. You’ll be part of a team serving communities with a focus on reliability and compliance.

In this role you will post transactions, reconcile accounts, prepare payroll and tax statements, and communicate with clients and vendors while upholding confidentiality and professionalism. This is a full-time on-site position in Wahpeton, ND.

Qualifications

• Must have fundamental bookkeeping knowledge and GAAP understanding.
• Ability to process payroll and prepare tax statements accurately.
• Proven ability to manage confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers
• Reconcile and balance accounts
• Generate and analyze financial statements
• Prepare and process payroll
• Generate 1099s and W-2s and calculate and prepare tax statements
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities
