Job summary

JC Grounds Management is seeking a Seasonal Winter Operations Manager to lead snow and ice removal across properties, coordinating pre/post-storm activities and ensuring safety and service excellence. The role emphasizes teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement throughout winter operations.

You will oversee crews, communicate with managers, and ensure accurate documentation and post-storm reporting, with training opportunities and a structured program.

Qualifications

• Lead and manage teams across multiple locations.

• Ability to work extended hours outdoors in extreme winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage snow and ice removal operations across assigned properties during winter events
• Attend pre-storm and post-storm meetings (virtual or in-person)
• Coordinate with operators, service partners, and staff regarding storm plans
• Ensure completion of site-specific scopes of work and maintain high service standards
• Maintain communication with Branch Manager and Account Manager about conditions and progress
• Document services using the timekeeping app and submit crew lists
• Collaborate with on-site operators, shovel crews, site supervisors, and management
• Complete post-storm paperwork including equipment inspections and inventory reports
• Assist in training salt truck operators and shovel teams
• Oversee post-storm operations and ensure tasks meet company standards
• Maintain equipment and report damages or injuries promptly
• Participate in pre-season crew training and complete all required training sessions
