Scholastic in Roselle, IL is seeking a Part-Time Seasonal Power Equipment Operator/Cherry-Picker. This role requires operating battery-powered and gas-powered equipment to move inventory, with duties including scanning, stacking, and inventory accuracy.

Hours are 9am-1pm, pay $17.00 per hour, and benefits include a 50% merchandise discount and a 401k. The ideal candidate will have forklift training, at least 1 year of power equipment experience, and must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be trained and licensed to operate power equipment.
• Minimum 1 year power equipment operation experience.
• Forklift training program completion required.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player with good verbal/written communication and reading English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate battery-operated and gas-powered equipment to move products within the facility.
• Follow all power equipment rules and OSHA regulations, and wear safety gear.
• Use scanners for cycle counts, replenishment, item inquiry and inventory put away.
• Ensure products are stacked neatly and stored safely in racks or staging areas.
• Maintain inventory movement accuracy at all times.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and during physical inventory events.
• Keep the work area neat, safe, and organized; meet production and quality standards.
