Job summary

Richards Building Supply is seeking a SEASONAL Warehouse Associate for our 111th Street, Chicago, IL location. The role involves receiving materials, loading trucks, processing inventory, and occasional deliveries in our pickup truck. Work Monday through Friday with typical hours 7:00 A.M.

– 4:00 P.M. This seasonal position offers a competitive hourly rate ($18–$21) with overtime potential, generous paid time off, and a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• Ability to stand, bend, and twist through entire shift.
• Forklift experience desired.
• Effective communication with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
• Positive attitude and teamwork.
• Adherence to safety policies, including wearing safety equipment.
• Monday–Friday workweek with overtime during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials in the warehouse and process inventory.
• Load trucks and prepare orders for delivery.
• Provide warehouse support including shipping/receiving.
• Pull orders for walk-in customers.
• Occasional deliveries in company pickup truck.
• Ensure loads are secured and within weight limits per DOT.

• Work Monday through Friday and opportunity for overtime during the busy season.

Requirements:

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Providing superior customer service
• Double checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring that they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Providing warehouse support including shipping/receiving
• Pulling order for walk-in customers
• Must have a clean driving record

$18 - $21 an hour
