Rooftop of Virginia is seeking a VITA Support Assistant to help run the tax-prep program and support site operations. You will assist with tax returns, volunteer recruitment, training, and outreach to promote financial stability for low- to moderate-income families.

You will work under the Community & Family Support Manager, coordinate client appointments, and ensure compliance and quality in tax filings while supporting marketing efforts for the program.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to do math.
• Proficient with computer applications.
• Ability to complete taxes and file reports.
• Willing to complete IRS training.
• Background checks required by the program.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s Licenses may be required.
• Other duties as assigned by COO and CEO.

• Works with the Community & Family Support Manager to complete activities integral to the VITA program.
• Assists in training and overseeing VITA volunteers.
• Sets client appointments and related service schedules.
• Completes tax returns.
• Helps recruit and supervise volunteers.
• Helps market the program.
• Reviews each tax return for errors and compliance in all forms and required attachments or documentations.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
