Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required and/or 2 years of tax preparation experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Organizational and management skills to work with volunteers and coalition partners.
• Basic tax knowledge; advanced certification required.
• Early evening and weekend hours required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and provide customer service.
• Understand tax laws and be able to answer general tax questions.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain volunteer schedules at VITA site.
• Supervise all volunteer tax preparation activities at site.
• Establish procedures to ensure intake and tax preparation procedures and quality returns.
• Ensure timely filing of all returns.
• Ensure participant confidentiality and privacy is paramount.
• Develop reporting and file management procedures to aid in data reporting.
• Ensure all quality site requirements are in place at VITA sites.
• Responsible for closing sites at designated times.
• Responsible for the electronic filing of tax returns prepared by volunteer preparers each day and correcting rejected returns.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Vice President of Mission Services & VITA Cash Coalition.

• Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures and regulations.
