Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus, OH is seeking a Visitor Experience Associate to deliver excellent customer service at the Ticket Center, in person and on the phone. This part-time, seasonal role averages 25 hours per week from September 2026 through January 10, 2027, with compensation at $16 per hour.

JOB SUMMARY

The Visitor Experience Associate provides excellent customer service while engaging with guests at the Ticket Center both in person and on the telephone. The Visitor Experience Associate also offers information and interpretation to our guests while staffing additional areas as needed.

This is a part-time, seasonal position working an average of 25 hours per week from September, 2026- January 10, 2027.

Compensation: $16/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates excellence in customer service for both internal and external guests of the Conservatory.

Greets, acknowledges, and provides Conservatory event information to our guests, suggests membership,?processes transactions for admission tickets, memberships and class registrations.

Demonstrates accurate cash handling and reconciliation skills.

Administers the opening and closing procedures of the Visitor Center.

Answers the main phone line and responds to inquiries.?

Makes every effort to find solutions to visitor concerns.

Engages guests in formal and informal information and collection interpretation throughout the Conservatory.

Staff butterfly doors, engaging with guests and ensuring USDA compliance.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned and demonstrates focus on serving the guests of the Conservatory.

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Minimum?1 year cash handling and register experience.

Ability to work weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Outstanding customer service skills displayed in a positive and friendly manner.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfortable meeting and engaging with guests.?

Knowledge of cash procedures and register operations.?

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
