Job summary

Desert Wolf Tours in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a seasonal Adventure Guide/Firearms Instructor with mechanical aptitude. You will lead Tomcar UTV desert tours, instruct guests on live-fire experiences, perform inspections, and support maintenance and operations.

This role blends hospitality with safety, requiring weekend/holiday work during peak season and a flexible, problem-solving mindset. Strong candidates enjoy outdoor work, rugged equipment, guest interaction, and following precise procedures

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Anthem, AZ.
• Must have a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• Must be able to pass a firearms background check.
• Must have relevant firearms experience.
• Must have hands‑on mechanical aptitude.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays during peak season.
• Must understand this is seasonal hospitality work with heavy and light periods.
• Must be flexible with seasonal workload changes.
• Must be able to follow procedures, checklists, videos, and manuals.
• Must be physically able to work outdoors in desert conditions.
• Must have a verifiable record of reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Leading guided Tomcar UTV tours.
• Instructing guests on live-fire machine gun experiences.
• Performing pre-tour and post-tour vehicle inspections.
• Troubleshooting UTV or equipment issues in the field.
• Cleaning, fueling, staging, and preparing UTVs.
• Cleaning, inspecting, maintaining, and correctly reassembling firearms.
• Preparing range equipment, radios, tools, tablets, and guest gear.
• Opening and closing the guest facility.
• Cleaning and stocking restrooms, drinks, snacks, supplies, and guest areas.
• Following written checklists and company procedures.
• Helping with UTV detailing, bodywork, painting, repairs, shop work, and facility projects during slower periods.
