Job summary

Thompson Palm Springs is seeking a Seasonal Upper Stories Bartender/Server to delight guests in our Upper Stories 21+ accommodations. The role involves crafting beverages, offering tailored recommendations, and maintaining a stylish bar aligned with state guidelines.

Preferred candidates have full-service bar experience and refined communication skills, with a flexible schedule including evenings and holidays. This is a nonexempt hourly position, with a budgeted rate of $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience working at a full-service bar.
• Experience in fast-paced, fine dining restaurant/bar settings preferred.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must possess Riverside County Food Handler Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide libations and offer customized recommendations.
• Maintain an attractive bar with knowledge of mixology and sanitation standards.
• Engage in casual conversations and showcase personal bartending style.
• Follow state and local serving guidelines.
• Seasonal assignment through Memorial Day 2027; extension possible.
