Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing/Registration/Certification requirements include a Class C license by first day, and ability to obtain a Class B license within six months.
• Ability to become a certified snow fighter within 12 months.
• Ability to obtain flagger certification within a specified amount of time.

Responsibilities

• Keep roadways and bridges safe and functioning as part of MaineDOT’s Maintenance and Operations team.
• Perform road repair, culvert replacement, and snowplowing duties across seasons.
• Work long hours in diverse weather conditions and participate in CDL and Snowfighter training programs.
