Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work at a higher class as necessary and meet required licenses/certifications.
• State-paid medical examination including a drug test and respirator fit test will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain roadways and bridges as part of MaineDOT team.
• Perform duties across seasons, from road repair to snow plowing.
• Participate in CDL and Snowfighter training to advance with time and promotions.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Class C license by first day of employment

Class B license during initial six months

Snow fighter certification within 12 months

Flagger certification within specified time
