Job summary

Boulder County’s Parks and Open Space Department is hiring two seasonal Trailhead Maintenance Technicians to service trailhead facilities, collect trash, clean restrooms, and perform maintenance tasks in outdoor park settings. Work is primarily outdoors in all weather, often solo, using hand and power tools.

The positions are hourly, non-benefited, with up to 40 hours per week. Shifts are Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, based in Longmont, CO at 5201 St Vrain Rd.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check contingent on job offer.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pre-employment physical required.

Responsibilities

• Trailhead restroom cleaning, restocking and sanitation.
• Routine trailhead trash and recycling pickup.
• Light construction and maintenance on park facilities.
• Assist with graffiti removal using pressure washing equipment and cleaners.
• Operate hand and power tools, vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Perform various construction/maintenance tasks excluding electrical/HVAC.
