Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking on-call Utility Workers for the Parks and Recreation department. Qualifications

• Proficiency with various hand-powered tools, pressure washers and motorized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors and indoors on park amenities using tools and equipment.
• Assist in responding to maintenance requests and scheduled projects.
• Support repairs to fencing, concrete, asphalt, playgrounds, and graffiti removal; assist with pool prep and winter shutdown.
• Collaborate with skilled trades workers and follow safety practices.
• Handle hazardous chemicals used in pool maintenance and assist with plumbing/irrigation repairs.
• Perform snow removal operations as needed.
• Carry out related duties such as trash pickup and restroom maintenance.
