Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year experience in horticulture, turf management, irrigation and general park maintenance.
• Certifications or ability to obtain: First Aid, CPR, AED, OSHA 10.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training team members and performance management.
• Participate in equipment safety and parks maintenance training.
• Collaborate with Parks field staff on maintenance needs and emergencies.
• Oversee contracted work to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with event promoters, city departments, and vendors for events.
• Assist with Safety Program inspections and equipment maintenance.
• Perform horticultural tasks: planting, fertilizing, pruning, weed control.
• Maintain turf: mowing, fertilization, aeration, irrigation management.
• Report irrigation issues to lead and Irrigation division.
• Adhere to safety procedures and city policies.
• Respond to emergencies including snow removal and tree-related issues.
