Boulder County’s Parks and Open Space Department is hiring two seasonal Trailhead Maintenance Technicians to service trailhead facilities, collect trash, clean restrooms, and perform maintenance tasks in outdoor park settings. Work is primarily outdoors in all weather, often solo, using hand and power tools.
The positions are hourly, non-benefited, with up to 40 hours per week. Shifts are Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, based in Longmont, CO at 5201 St Vrain Rd.
Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department is seeking to hire 2 (two) Seasonal Trailhead Maintenance Technicians. The main job function will include routine trash/recycling collection, restroom cleaning, sanitizing, servicing, and general maintenance of our park trailhead facilities. They will perform all methods of construction/building maintenance (with the exception of Electrical & HVAC systems), work primarily in outdoor locations, in all weather conditions, and regularly use available resources such as hand and power tools for necessary jobs. This is an hourly, non-benefited position that will work up to 40 hours per week, Sunday - Wednesday 7:00am - 5:30pm or Wednesday - Saturday 7:00am - 5:30pm. This position will work out of 5201 St Vrain Rd., Longmont, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
