Job summary

AAA Parking is seeking a Seasonal Flagger to direct traffic at construction zones, ensuring safety for motorists and workers. The role requires vigilance, clear communication, and adherence to safety standards, with flexibility for varying shifts typical of seasonal work.

Candidates must be 18+ (or 17 with parental consent) and capable of standing for long periods. Prior flagger certification and a valid driver's license are preferred. Training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old, or 17 with parental consent.
• Strong situational awareness and the ability to react quickly to potential hazards.
• Excellent communication skills to relay information to coworkers and motorists.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/carry equipment.
• Knowledge of traffic control procedures and road safety regulations.
• Familiarity with local roadways and traffic patterns preferred.
• Ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic at construction sites using signs, hand signals, and verbal communication.
• Coordinate with flaggers and crews to maintain smooth traffic flow and safety.
• Set up and take down traffic control signs, cones, and barricades per safety regs.
• Respond quickly to emergencies or detours to protect the public and workers.
• Assist motorists with directions and detour information.
• Maintain professional and courteous conduct in all interactions.
• Inspect traffic control equipment regularly for proper function.
