Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and provide advanced tax training.

You will interview clients virtually or in person, prepare complete tax returns, and identify opportunities to grow the business while maintaining high client satisfaction. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and may involve mentoring teammates, with additional certification such as CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience welcome.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Mentor and support teammates.
