Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and provide advanced tax training. You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and guide clients through IRS inquiries while contributing to practice growth.

This role requires strong communication, adaptability to a fast pace, and the ability to work with virtual tools. Franchise office operations and IRS/state requirements will guide your day-to-day duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services
• Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
