Job summary

H&R Block in Tennessee is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal role. You'll serve clients with diverse tax needs, delivering high-quality returns with the support of an expert team and comprehensive training.

You’ll conduct tax interviews, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, and help grow the practice by increasing client retention and offering additional services. Strong communication and virtual-work proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services
• Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Mentor and support teammates
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
