Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to guide clients through complex tax scenarios, prepare accurate returns, and identify savings opportunities using our training and technology. This in-person role is based at a local H&R Block tax office.

You will interview clients, deliver clear recommendations, build relationships, and provide IRS support and audit guidance when needed. The position offers competitive pay and an incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet IRS and state continuing education requirements and other qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and implications
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant HR Block products
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance when needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
