H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete tax returns for clients with complex situations, including individuals and businesses. You will interview clients to understand finances, provide personalized tax guidance, and identify savings opportunities using H&R Block tools and training.

The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with a competitive hourly rate and incentive plan to reward impact and tax expertise development.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax prep, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive client-focused office environment
