H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and uncover savings opportunities for clients. You will interview clients, provide personalized recommendations, and build lasting relationships backed by training and technology.

This in-person role operates at a local H&R Block tax office, offering competitive hourly pay and an incentive plan based on impact. You’ll support clients with complex tax situations, including individual and business returns,

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations (individuals and businesses).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications, then provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships through empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office.
