Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, backed by an expert team and advanced tax training.

You will conduct tax interviews in person and virtually, prepare complete returns, drive client growth and retention, and provide clients with IRS support as needed.

Franchise office operates independently; hiring decisions are made by the franchisee and final ED requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support; audit representations where certified.
• Mentor and support teammates.
