Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to interview clients, prepare returns, and provide IRS support with an experienced team. You will help grow client relationships and offer additional services while delivering accurate tax solutions.

The role requires a background in accounting/tax, potential CPA/EA certification, and comfort with virtual tools. Franchise office operates independently under H&R Block guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred)
• CPA or EA certification prioritized
• 5+ years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax experience
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (audit representation where applicable)
• Mentor and support teammates
