H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax matters with confidence. You will prepare returns, interview clients, and identify tax savings opportunities in a supportive, training-rich environment.

This in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office emphasizes client service, learning, and collaboration within a high-performing team. Prior tax experience and CPA/EA credentials are preferred but not required at entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; relevant training acceptable
• 1+ year in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in client-facing advisory role
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to complete continuing education and IRS/state requirements
• Must pass HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide clear, personalized tax recommendations and savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
